The Eye Of Destruction

A green-blue eye stares down at me,
an ochre yellow iris,
fluorescent green pupils.

It always watches me,
forever scrutinizing gaze
always lurking in my dreams,
in my fantasies.

Fluttering its eyelids
covered with thick kohl,
animalistic vision, lizard-like.

Staring me down, right into
my heart, my red bleeding heart,
inscrutable observation.

It wants to hunt me down,
pierce my core, blankly,
foraging into my imagination,
constraining love, restraining happiness.
