My Love For Earrings

Do you love wooden earrings?
Or the ones that are made of clay?
The impressions that they carry
Of the bygone days.

Not gold, not silver, not diamonds
Expensive stones don’t make me sway.
But the carvings on the wood and perched memories on clay
Shall forever stay!
The intricacies of oxidised metal manifest abstraction
Of aesthetics which adorn my imagination!

Click them with a finger
Let the sparkle dangle
A clicking sound to the ear
Leaving a echo which linger!

Ornaments that make me wander
To forgotten places of glory
It leaves me satiated
With myriad things to ponder.
